Getting Started

Download SpotHK from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Open the app and allow location access to see nearby parking. You can browse the map, search by name or address, and filter by parking type, district, or facilities.

Creating an Account

Tap the profile tab and sign in with Apple, Google, or email. An account lets you save favourites, contribute parking data, and upload photos.

Contributing Data

To add a new spot, tap the "+" button on the map and fill in the details. To edit an existing spot, open its detail page and tap "Edit". All contributions are reviewed and help keep SpotHK accurate for everyone.

Location Permissions

SpotHK uses your location to show nearby parking and calculate distances. You can change location permissions at any time in your device settings. The app works without location access, but distance-based features will be unavailable.

Offline Mode

SpotHK caches parking data on your device. You can browse spots, view details, and access favourites without an internet connection. Real-time vacancy data requires connectivity.

Data Sources

Parking information is sourced from the Hong Kong Transport Department (data.gov.hk), community contributions, and public records. We strive for accuracy but always recommend verifying details on-site.
